40k Necrons: Ghost Ark

If you want to expand your Necron army with a large, eye-catching vehicle, the Ghost Ark is an excellent choice. The model is part of Warhammer 40.000 and has exactly the kind of presence that makes Necron armies stand out on the tabletop. If you’re looking for more than just infantry and want a vehicle that visibly enhances your force, this kit is an exciting option. The Ghost Ark is a great fit for buyers who enjoy working on larger models and want to give their army more depth.

A Ghost Ark is especially worthwhile if you want more than just breadth for your Necrons and are also looking for a central showpiece model. While smaller units mainly add numbers, this vehicle immediately gives the army visual and thematic gravitas. It’s a practical choice if you want to upgrade your Collection or start a project with more of a modeling focus. For many Players, this difference is important, because a vehicle often creates more atmosphere than several small additions.

For Necron collectors, the Ghost Ark is exciting because it showcases the faction’s mechanical and dark side very clearly. Anyone who doesn’t want to fill their Collection with standard infantry alone, but would like to see different model types side by side, will find a striking contrast here. Vehicles like this make an army or display cabinet feel more lively and less monotonous. With Necrons in particular, a single large model can contribute a lot to the overall effect.

In a game, the Ghost Ark is especially appealing if you want to build your Necron army not just for function, but also with a strong theme. A vehicle of this size gives your list a clear focal point and helps reinforce the feel of your army on the tabletop. If you like playing with a mix of infantry and vehicles, this model is an especially good fit. It’s not a minor addition, but a component that visibly changes your force.

Many hobbyists appreciate the Ghost Ark because it offers a project with more build time and presence than a small unit. The model invites you to spend more time on its assembly, painting, and presentation. If you enjoy not only playing Warhammer 40.000 but also treating miniatures as a hobby in their own right, this is a substantial set. Especially if you're looking for a vehicle that will look just as impressive in a display case as it does on the battlefield, this is a strong contender.

The included assembly instructions in English are standard for Warhammer kits and are easy for most hobbyists to follow. If you’ve built miniatures before, the Language usually plays only a minor role. What matters more is being able to assemble the kit neatly and choose the correct variants. In practice, this is rarely an obstacle for buyers who regularly build and expand their armies anyway.

The Ghost Ark is the better choice if you’re looking for a striking Necron vehicle that enhances your army both visually and in gameplay. Compared with smaller units, this set offers much more presence and enjoyment in building. If you’re deciding between different vehicles or another infantry box, focus above all on your goal: a stronger visual impact and the character of a vehicle clearly make this model stand out. That’s exactly what sets it apart from many smaller Necron purchases.

Most buyers will build the Ghost Ark right away, since the model really comes into its own once assembled. However, if you’re planning your Necron projects long-term or building a structured Sealed collection, you can of course set the set aside unopened for now. This is especially useful if you’re deliberately saving certain faction models for later. For practical hobby use, though, building and painting is clearly the way to go.
